Here’s what you need to know about the state of our local housing market.
Today, we’ll cover a range of topics, starting with a brief update on real estate statistics, and then shifting to discussions about holidays, winter preparations, and more.
Currently, there are 1,087 active listings in our MLS, which serves western Yavapai County, but also includes areas like Kingman, Flagstaff, and Phoenix. Over the last three months, we’ve successfully closed 913 residential properties, leaving us with a three-month supply of inventory. The trend continues, with 368 homes currently under contract, maintaining the market’s stability. Plus, there were no significant increases in distressed properties or bank foreclosures. As we head into the colder months, this pattern aligns with our typical strong winter season in the area. The market appears steady, and we expect this positive trend to continue.
“Winterizing your home is crucial this time of year.”
As we embrace the holiday season, downtown Prescott and Prescott Valley will be adorned with Christmas lights. Events like the Prescott Valley Civic Center, the Prescott Courthouse, and the Valley of Lights in Prescott Valley are sure to enhance the festive spirit. If you haven’t experienced these yet, take advantage of the opportunity after nightfall. Mark your calendars for December 8 for a delightful music festival in downtown Prescott.
As we look ahead to winter, here are a few practical reminders. First, ensure your heating and cooling systems undergo winter maintenance. If you need a reliable contractor recommendation, feel free to reach out to us. Additionally, disconnect hoses from outside faucets to prevent freezing issues. Don’t forget to winterize your landscaping drip systems and irrigation systems. If you own an RV, consider draining the water or winterizing it. Winter is approaching, and although it hasn’t arrived in full force, it’s wise to heed these warning signs.
We wish you a wonderful holiday season, and we look forward to reconnecting before Christmas. Just call or email us with any questions!
